Dr Sahana Ramos, BDS, DMD

General Dentist

Dr Sahana S. Ramos has been practicing dentistry for over 16 years. Her clinical practice includes all aspects of General Dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry (crowns bridges and implant crowns), complete and partial dentures and implant supported dentures.

Before starting Evershine Dental Group, Dr Ramos practiced in Worcester, Greater Boston area and Southern New Hampshire area. She practiced dentistry at Massachusetts General Hospital. She also served as faculty and supervising dentist in Dental Hygiene program at Middlesex Community College, Lowell, MA.

She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) – at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA-2009. In addition, she received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, INDIA–2002. She did General Dentistry residency at Yenepoya Dental Hospital, Mangalore, INDIA–2003.

Dr Ramos professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, International Team for Implantology, Academy of General Dentistry, Massachusetts Dental Society. She regularly attends continuing education courses to keep pace with the latest advances in dentistry.

Dr Anthony R. Buonomo , DDS

General Dentist

Dr Anthony R. Buonomo has been practicing dentistry for over 40 years. A graduate of Holy Cross College and Georgetown University Dental School. After active duty in the U.S. Air Force for 2 years and 3 years as a reservist he has been practicing in Worcester MA since his discharge. He is a member of the American Dental Association, MA Dental Society and Worcester Dental Society. He has served a President of the Central New England Dental Study Group and a member of the New England prosthodontic society. He continues to be a student attending continuous education courses regularly.

Outside of dentistry he is active in the Department of Mental Health. He served as President of the Board of Trustees of Worcester State Hospital, now known as the Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital.

He is now a happy member of Evershine Dental Group.

Dr Avi Shainhouse, DDS, CAGS, Cert. Perio, FRCD(C)

Periodontist and Implant Specialist

Dr Shainhouse was born in Toronto, Canada and received his dental degree at the University of Western Ontario. He then continued his education in periodontics and implant dentistry, receiving a specialist degree from New York University. Dr Shainhouse has been in practice for over 10 years and is Board Certified in both Canada and the United States. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Dr Shainhouse is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and provides periodontal and surgical implant therapy here at Evershine Dental.

Dr Maryam Mohammadvali Samani, DMD, MSD (Endodontics)

Endodontist

Dr. Samani received both her Doctorate of Dental Medicine & Masters of Science (MSD) in Endodontics from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She finished a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at Rochester University.

Dr. Samani is happy to be a member of Evershine Dental Group. She is looking forward to providing endodontic care to our patients and help save their natural teeth for years to come. Her clinical practice includes root canal treatments, retreatments and apicoectomies.

Dr. Samani’s Professional affiliations include American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Association of Endodontists, and Massachusetts Dental Society.

Pam Vaitkunas, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Pam has been a practicing dental hygienist for 37 years in the greater Worcester area. Prior to joining Evershine Dental she has practiced in Worcester, Malboro, Westboro, Hopkinton and Newton. She graduated from the University of Bridgeport, Fones School of Dental Hygiene in Bridgeport CT. She graduated with an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene. Pam takes part in a variety of continuing education courses and regularly attends dental conferences to keep up to date on the latest developments in dentistry. Pam takes immense pride in her job and enjoys forming relationships with her patients to help make them more comfortable in the dental setting. In her spare time Pam enjoys shopping, spending time with family and friends and vacationing.

Allison Flek, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Allison has been practicing dental hygiene for over 16 years in the Worcester area. She graduated from Quinsigamond Community College with an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene, and is also licensed to administer local anesthetics. She regularly attends regional dental conferences and takes part in continuing education courses to stay on top of delivering exceptional care to her patients. She enjoys making her patients feel at ease in the dental chair, and loves forming trustworthy professional relationships with everyone she sees. Born and raised in Worcester, MA she loves visiting the many restaurants and diners the city has to offer & loves spending time with her friends, family, and pets.

Nancy Meringolo, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Nancy has been a practicing dental hygienist for over 30 years in the greater Worcester area. She is a graduate of Quinsigamond Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. In addition, she has her license to administer local anaesthesia. She is always looking for ways to learn and expand her horizons, and consistently takes continuing education courses to keep current with the latest dental advancements.

Nancy has developed a strong and lasting relationship with so many of her patients. They admire her cheerful friendly personality, and she has a terrific sense of humor. She treats each patient with respect, maintains extremely high standards, and does her very best to educate patients on ways to improve their oral health.

In her spare time, Nancy loves shopping especially buying vintage items. She loves taking vacations especially going to Disney World where she becomes a kid at heart. She mainly enjoys time with her family, friends, and in particular her nieces and nephews.

Monique Brooks, RDH, M. Ed.

Dental Hygienist

Monique has been a practicing registered dental hygienist in the city of Worcester since 2004. She graduated from the dental hygiene program at Quinsigamond Community College (QCC) where she is currently working as a clinical instructor. She has been a faculty member at QCC since 2017 after receiving a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Mount Ida College. In May 2022, she graduated from the Master of Education program at Worcester State University. Monique is also a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.

Monique enjoys being part of a collaborative team in patient care, and makes patient comfort her priority. She also enjoys taking part in preparing students to become future healthcare professionals.

When not working she is devoted to spending time with her family and friends. She loves trips to the beach and caring for plants.

I have been a Dental Assistant for over 17 years. I very much enjoy what I do. Helping people achieve their goals of having a great smile and maintain great oral health is very rewarding. I love meeting new people and learning from them as well. I assist the doctor, during dental procedures, supporting her and our patients making their treatment as smooth as it can be. Before and during treatment, I make sure our patients are comfortable and relaxed. I always strive to give our patients a positive experience.

When I’m not working, I usually spend time with my son and family. My hobbies include reading, watching movies with my son and dinner with my family.

I love making a positive difference in my community whether it’s lending an open ear or hand to a fellow friend, patient, co-worker, or family member. I honestly believe the world is changed by your example, not by your opinion. I love dental assisting because it gives me an opportunity to give patients a pleasant experience rather than a stressful one. It’s truly satisfying seeing a patient come in with a frown and leave with a smile. I have been a dental assistant for over 5 years and still look forward to learning new things and meeting new people.

When I’m not working, I enjoy studying and spending time with family and friends outdoors.

I have been working in the dental field for over 25 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the many experiences and different job responsibilities I have had thru my journey. As a patient coordinator it gives me great pleasure to make sure the patients experience goes smoothly and pleasantly from start to finish. I really appreciate working for Evershine Dental Group because all of the employees are friendly towards each other and we work together to accomplish our mission which is quality care for our patients.

When I am not working I enjoy family time, vacationing with family and friends and playing with my new grand-puppy.

I love working in a practice focused on treating patients and employees with care and understanding. The most enjoyable part of my work is keeping the office running smoothly and meeting all its needs quickly and efficiently. Seeing a patient smile is one of the best parts of the day. Seeing an employee smile is an even bigger reward.

I entered the dental profession as a file clerk while putting myself thru college. After receiving my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Worcester State College, I began working in accounts receivable. Accounts receivable blossomed into a love/hate relationship with the vast world of dental insurance. And from there I found complete joy in my career.

Outside the dental world I find happiness in the company of family and friends. I love New England and the changing of the seasons. Outdoor adventures are the best.
