Dr Sahana Ramos, BDS, DMD

General Dentist

Dr Sahana S. Ramos has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. Her clinical practice includes all aspects of General Dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry (crowns bridges and implant crowns), complete and partial dentures and implant supported dentures.

Before starting Evershine Dental Group, Dr Ramos practiced in Worcester, Greater Boston area and Southern New Hampshire area. She practiced dentistry at Massachusetts General Hospital. She also served as faculty and supervising dentist in Dental Hygiene program at Middlesex Community College, Lowell, MA.

She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) – at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA-2009. In addition, she received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, INDIA–2002. She did General Dentistry residency at Yenepoya Dental Hospital, Mangalore, INDIA–2003.

Dr Ramos professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, International Team for Implantology, Academy of General Dentistry, Massachusetts Dental Society. She regularly attends continuing education courses to keep pace with the latest advances in dentistry.

Dr Avi Shainhouse, DDS, CAGS, Cert. Perio, FRCD(C)

Periodontist and Implant Specialist

Dr Shainhouse was born in Toronto, Canada and received his dental degree at the University of Western Ontario. He then continued his education in periodontics and implant dentistry, receiving a specialist degree from New York University. Dr Shainhouse has been in practice for over 16 years and is Board Certified in both Canada and the United States. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Dr Shainhouse is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and provides periodontal and surgical implant therapy here at Evershine Dental.

Dr Aynka Guna, DMD, CAGS, DScD Endodontics

Endodontist

Dr. Aynka Guna received his Bachelor’s Degree in English from Boston University. He then went on to complete his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, graduating Cum Laude. Dr. Aynka completed his post graduate degree in Endodontics at Boston University.

As part of his specialty program, he completed a PhD in bioactive Endodontic sealers. He has returned to Boston University as a clinical instructor for the Endodontics department. Dr. Aynka Guna is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the American Academy of Endodontics.

Dr Maryam Mohammadvali Samani, DMD, MSD (Endodontics)

Endodontist

Dr. Samani received both her Doctorate of Dental Medicine & Masters of Science (MSD) in Endodontics from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She finished a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at Rochester University.

Dr. Samani is happy to be a member of Evershine Dental Group. She is looking forward to providing endodontic care to our patients and help save their natural teeth for years to come. Her clinical practice includes root canal treatments, retreatments and apicoectomies.

Dr. Samani’s Professional affiliations include American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Association of Endodontists, and Massachusetts Dental Society.

Pam Vaitkunas, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Pam has been a practicing dental hygienist for 37 years in the greater Worcester area. Prior to joining Evershine Dental she has practiced in Worcester, Malboro, Westboro, Hopkinton and Newton. She graduated from the University of Bridgeport, Fones School of Dental Hygiene in Bridgeport CT. She graduated with an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene. Pam takes part in a variety of continuing education courses and regularly attends dental conferences to keep up to date on the latest developments in dentistry. Pam takes immense pride in her job and enjoys forming relationships with her patients to help make them more comfortable in the dental setting. In her spare time Pam enjoys shopping, spending time with family and friends and vacationing.

Ana Cabral, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Ana is a graduate of Quinsigamond Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She also has a license to administer local anesthesia. Before becoming a dental hygienist, she was an orthodontist assistant for about 10 years, helping her patients achieve the smile of their dreams.

Ana believes that oral health is a gateway to overall health and her mission is to help her patients and everyone else to achieve and maintain a good oral health. As a hygienist, she is always looking for ways to learn, grow, and expand her knowledge so she can provide the best care to her patients. She enjoys making her patients feel comfortable in the dental chair, and she loves forming trustworthy professional relationships with them. She always strives to give her patients a positive experience.

In her spare time Ana loves spending time with her family and friends, she enjoys reading and traveling. She also loves spending time cuddling with her dog.

Elizabeth Swenson, RDH

Dental Hygienist

Elizabeth is a Dental Hygienist who is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. She believes dental visits should be both positive and personal, and she strives to create a relaxed, welcoming experience for every patient.

Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her daughter, staying active through kickboxing, and making lasting memories with family and friends. She is passionate about promoting kindness, laughter, and healthy habits, believing that a happy smile truly starts from the inside out

Itzy

Registered Dental Assistant

With over 17 years of experience as a Dental Assistant, Itzy is passionate about helping patients achieve confident smiles and maintain excellent oral health. She finds great fulfillment in building connections with patients and supporting them throughout their dental care journey. Working closely with the doctor during procedures, she helps ensure treatments run smoothly while prioritizing patient comfort and relaxation before and during each visit. She is dedicated to creating a positive and reassuring experience for every patient.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her son and family. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies with her son, and sharing meals with loved ones.

Shyla Jones

Registered Dental Assistant

Shyla is a dental assistant and a graduate of Porter and Chester Institute. She is passionate about helping patients feel confident in their smiles and enjoys being part of a profession that makes a meaningful impact on people’s lives. Shyla is committed to continued growth in dentistry and plans to further her education to become a Dental Hygienist. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, which she sees as a way to relax, expand her knowledge, and explore new perspectives.
